My responsibilities included the creation of buildings, market stands, texturing shading of the ground, and the creation of an asset library for set dressing.

It was a great learning experience under the supervision of Christophe Courgeau (Tchook).

The trailer

The ground shader was hard AF to get right on all shots.
I used Quixel Mixer to make a collection of generic seamless damaged asphalt texture, It's really an awesome software to blend decals, textures and height blending of different materials very naturally.

Then Substance Painter with UDIMS to really have control over the surface.

My butt makes a cameo in this shootout scene because my supervisor thought I had the perfect "cartel corpse" aesthetic apparently…

I laid on the floor to get photoscanned and photographed by my colleagues, and was later comped in the sequence.

As convincing as my dead body may be, I was unfortunately not invited to the oscars.

Scene assembly by Bastien Halter aka "El Bastianito" on the top right hand corner.

The movie wasn't shot in Mexico so a lot of places had to be set extended. A minute of silence for the roto department that had to roto everyone's feet to replace the ground.

This is a full CG shot made by Clément Beaubert, I only helped him with some vegetation.
